A symbol of Mid-Century European design. Exceptional workshop craftsmanship. Bent beech wood (stripped and refinished with a clear varnish). Excellent condition. Each screen consists of two superimposed frames with shelf compartments, two vertical supports, and four "feet" mounted on glued wooden dowels. Frame height (excluding connectors and feet): 102 cm x 2. Height of vertical connectors (between each frame): 8 cm. Height of connectors (floor & ceiling): 14 cm x 2. Total height (including feet & connectors): 240 cm. Width of the two frames: 55 cm. Depth of the two frames: 8 cm. Depth of the shelves inside the frames: 15 cm. These screens can be mounted and used in a variety of ways. Their previous owner had used them as bookshelves at their full height (fixed to the floor and ceiling) and positioned away from the walls to accommodate wider books. For stability (due to the weight of the books), both were secured to the ceiling from the back using small brackets. They can be mounted in the same way in a corner and can also be used simply as room dividers with a few items on their shelves (or not). A ceiling height of 240 cm is not required to integrate them into your interior; the connectors can be omitted if the ceiling height is less than 240 cm.
