Mid-Century Modern "Green Pears" Swedish Still Life Oil Painting, Framed

Green pears. Size: 28 X 45 cm (including frame) Oil on board. A brilliantly executed mid-century still life composition, executed in oil onto board. The composition revolves around a plate of 4 green pears resting against a muted coloured backdrop. The artist has used short and expressive e brushstrokes, and through the masterful use of the colour gradient technique employing contrasting shades, the three-dimensional qualities of the fruits are enhanced and the overall composition is full of character. This oil on board is housed in a very complementary wide-profile gilt frame. The painting is in very good vintage condition. The frame has losses around its edges as shown in the close up photos.
