Orientalist watercolor dated 1977 on framed paper: marked on the lower border in pencil "remparts de marrakech" and signed in pencil 77 g. Massu or massa. Dimensions 27 X 32, in wooden frame with gold edging and protective glass. Rear without wall attachment system. Packaged weight 1kg we see 3 riders in djellaba, one carrying a rifle and another carrying a spear. On the right is a small bivouac with tent and resting rider. The desert is set against a backdrop of ramparts, palm trees and mountains. Naive style, perhaps this is a sketch for a definitive painting The artist may be georges massa (1917 / 2013), a french watercolorist in sousse, tunisia.
