Portrait painting on canvas of a Slavic Lady 61 x 50 cm

The painting is in good condition, no accidents, the canvas is not pierced, but it has a patina of use, and slight wear in places. Nothing serious. This is a beautiful portrait sketched quite lightly, all in transparency. There is no thickness in the paint, it is not opaque, and we can even see here and there the construction lines of the preparatory drawing. Very delicate work using fairly small touches on the head, face, hair, and larger touches on the dark clothing. The face is in three-quarter view, which leaves plenty of room for the model's blonde hair, pulled back and held by a thin headband. The attitude is pensive. Nice feeling of softness and lightness. The canvas is not signed. This is a 12 f format, f meaning firmat figure, which were the formats used for portraits. The canvas is fixed on a wooden frame, using seeds, in a completely traditional way. Sensitive and delicate work from the first half of the 20th century. The canvas does not have a suspension system. It is sold as is, it is not framed.
