Vase of Vallauris signed Gerbino

Mosaic vase of colored earths created by jean gerbino (1876-1966) in the 30s. Born in sicily into a family of potters, jean gerbino settled in france at the beginning of the twentieth century. He developed a technique of mosaic of colored earths. He creates a flat mosaic and then gives it a vase shape using a mold. The manufacturing secret has remained in the family to this day. His great-granddaughter continues the tradition in his workshop in vallauris.
