Gubi beetle chairs

Set of 6 gubi chairs. Black metal legs, blue mottled fabric and burgundy gray effect for the beetle collection, designers stine gam and enrico fratesi were inspired by the beetle, by studying the anatomy, aesthetics and movement of the insect. The beetle chair met its audience upon its introduction in 2013 and has since become the greatest commercial success of the danish house gubi. Thus the collection reinterprets the characteristic elements of the beetle, whether through the shape, the joints, the rigid appearance on the outside and flexible on the inside. The elegance of the shape of the beetle seat is highlighted by leather piping which highlights the contours of the seat and back.
