Ceramic Lamp by "Fanny Rozet" Naked Woman on Her Pedestal ART DECO Period

Very beautiful and imposing illuminating sculpture in cracked polychrome ceramic, depicting a naked draped woman sitting on a pedestal. Ceramic creation known by the artist fanny rozet 1881/1921. The visible signature placed on the lamp by a former owner predates the creation, this signature bears an obvious spelling error on the name of this artist. We can see that the colors and the varnish are not original to this location. Another signature, its original one, is visible below the sculpture (see monogram photos below) fanny rozet was an artist who worked with several materials such as bronze, ivory, terracotta, ceramic, wood, the plaster. She was part of the artist group "evolution" founded by arthur goldscheider at the same time as the group la stèle. Two groups of progressive artists, la stele for sculptors and evolution for creators of decorative works. Arthur goldscheider presented their work in 1925 under the title art deco in a pavilion designed by eric bagge at the international exhibition of modern decorative and industrial art. The works of fanny rozet sculptures, decorative objects, art deco style lamps have been published and marketed by several art object publishers including arthur golldscheider, susse frères, eyffinger and marquet, edmond etling and the neveux of jules lehmann. In these name of recognized merchant publishers of the art deco era, is probably the one who marketed the lamp presented and affixed his signature below.
